Copyright

Copyright refers to an author’s sole right or the sole right of any holder of copyright, to control certain actions with regard to a creative work, particularly to the making of multiple copies of the work (and to disseminate the work or copies of it).

It is true that the law is territorial, but as a signatory of the International Berne Convention, South Africa is obliged to give recognition and protection to copyright works from other countries by mutual agreement.
